What is an operating license?

A Les Moulins La Fayette license is the transfer of the operating rights of the licensor, Johnny Jeulin, to an independent entrepreneur who, after accepting our commercial philosophy, sells products of our design or our selection identified with our brand.

Licensing through franchises allows skills and responsibilities to be share. Licensees have no need to worry about production, processing or image creation, not to mention creating a national market. In return, they agree to apply their own expertise (knowledge of local marketing, sales, customer service) to ensuring the success of their own store.

Unlike franchises, where the franchisee has to pay royalties on sales, requiring analyses and reconciling sales and earnings at the end of each month, with an operating license, you only pay us royalties on the products you purchase from us, based on the volume of licensee orders.

Selling price

Each article has a suggested selling price but licensees can adjust the prices in accordance with their operating expenses, competitive situation and local market.

Location

Store location plays a decisive role in Licensee success.

To significantly increase the chances of Licensee success, we have forged an alliance with a company specialized in locating and evaluating potential sites. This company will evaluate and compare various site possibilities for your operation.

Layout

Licensees are required to outfit their store according to the model provided by Les Moulins La Fayette. The Licensor offers various descriptive layouts (furniture, decor, arrangement, etc.)and a list of appropriate materials.  These plans and lists are provided only for information purposes and can be modified to reflect the specific needs of individual Licensees.
